My favourite place has to be Bourgas. It has everything - beautiful sea garden; a pier where you can go fishing; nice restaurants and cafes and the beaches are clean and quieter than sunny beach or golden sands. Not forgetting plenty of shops galore - main street in Bourgas seems to go on for miles!

Recent reports on the news about property in Bulgaria seem to be showing big drops in prices, especially along the Black sea and ski resorts. However I think that if you go inland, prices there have yet to take off. There are some really beautiful cities and towns like Pazardjick, Plovdiv, Montana, Hissar and Sofia. Property prices there with the exception of the capital, Sofia are still cheap and well below the European average.

However some areas are dropping alarmingly in value, however some areas will never drop, like those in coastal regions and the major towns and cities where employment is always high. I think the big concern at the moment is the weakening of the pound and euro, some sellers have already started to panic and are dropping their prices. Property prices will certainly not increase, if anything they will decrease by on average about 25% during the next few years - especially in countries like the USA and the UK.
For me its Ruse. It may well be the 5th largest city in Bulgaria but it does not feel like a city.

Its such a beautiful place, well deserving of the nickname little Vienna, given because parts of the city where destroyed and re-designed by Austrian architects.

Like all cities its a relaxed cafe bar culture, but there is more than that, the city is alive, vibrant and thanks to Unesco restored to its former glory. Well worth a visit.

Should you decide to visit, maybe you would like to come and stay with us at our very own English guest, located right in the centre of Ruse.

I feel very lucky living here, my businesses keep me busy, I live in a beautiful house and I am a 2 minute walk from the Danube.

I read the forums and wonder how every village is the best, every town is the best and every city is the best, and you know, to those that live there, they probably are.

I have lots of information on Ruse which can be found on this link;

http://buying-properties-in-bulgaria.co.uk/index.php?action=page_display&PageID=9

For now I`ll include some photos here as well.

Best regards to all,
